Chickenpox?
Chickenpox is a viral infection causing a blister-type rash with fever and other associated complaints.
It affects almost 90% of the population and is believed that each and every person has to suffer with this problem during his lifetime.
Causes:
Varicella-Zoster Virus.
Is Chickenpox Contagious?
Yes it is contagious and is caused by the following sources:-

By respiratory route (coughs, sneezes)

Touching a contaminated surface ( blanket etc)

By skin contact (handshakes)

By saliva (kissing)
Duration of Chickenpox: virus entering the body to the end of chicken pox lasts for 14 to 17 days.
How to diagnose Chickenpox ?
Signs and symptoms :

Usually affects children with vesicular rash
-
low-grade fever
-
weakness
-
Lesions also found inside the mouth, pharynx and/or vagina.
If left untreated ?
-
Skin infection
-
Meningitis
-
Respiratory issues like pneumonia
